All you Jeep owners out there check this out. A client brought in a brand new Jeep Renegade Mojave with 196 miles on the odometer to get preventative care in the form of Fluid Film Clear applied to its undercarriage and beyond. New vehicles don’t require much prep work so the undercoating work was fast and efficient.
Brian addressed the undercarriage, the taillights, around the premium shocks, under the spare tire, wheel wells, inside the tow, inside the chassis, inside the door frames, and the rockers to name quite a few. The client has invested a little extra in their baby to plan for a future of going head-to-head with the effects of water, road treatments, and air, the triple threat that causes corrosion, a vehicle’s worst enemy.
With a vehicle meant to be utilized in rugged terrain, the undercoating service by MATTT Preservation is a no-brainer of an investment.
Protect your investment with MATTT Preservation! Call (302)-502-5647 to schedule your corrosion consultation with Brian. Undercoating service can be performed on autos, trucks, tractors, and trailers. Mobile service is available in the Tri-State area. (PA, MD, & DE) Fleet Service is done on the premises for businesses too!
At MATTT Preservation our business is preserving and protecting your investment in your Auto, Truck, Tractor, or Trailer. This beautiful 1985 Dodge is a member of the client's family that they wish to preserve as a family heirloom for future generations. This resonated with me as I consider my 2007 Toyota Tundra and 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle as members of the family that I plan to keep and pas
After initial discussions with the customer, a corrosion plan was agreed upon which was to provide protection to the visible and non-visible surfaces on the truck while improving the aesthetic appearance of the entire undercarriage. To achieve the objective, thorough protection was applied under the hood and front fenders, inside the doors, and rockers (through existing access ports avoiding the
Overall this truck is solid and well cared for, however, several areas of the truck (fender wells, rear frame of truck, and cab mounts) are beginning to see the impacts of corrosion. The undercarriage was meticulously prepared by removing loose rust and debris.
For the undercarriage and fender wells, FLUID FILM Black was selected to achieve the customer's objective of ‘Improving the aesthetic appearance. The customer was concerned about the potential for disturbing wiring so the taillights were not removed (Removing the taillights is the typical approach to treat behind the lights and to gain access to the inside of the bed.) I was able to treat the ins
This truck had been undercoated several times, but hard-to-access areas (e.g. under the spare tire, inside the frame rails) were omitted during previous undercoating attempts. At MATTT Preservation the objective is to treat and protect every vehicle thoroughly. To achieve thorough treatment and protection it’s about attention to detail, investing time, and generous application of FLUID FILM.
This was a really fun project that I enjoyed. I am grateful to have the opportunity to preserve this 1985 Dodge for future generations! Every project is unique, and the undercoating solutions are tailored to meet your goals and objectives.
The customer requested two vehicles to be given the MATTT Preservation undercoating service. This new trailer came attached to a brand new 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. Because this trailer is new, no surface preparation, like scraping rust off, was needed. The trailer was fast-tracked to the FLUID FILM undercoating treatment stage. FLUID FILM is a very versatile material that can be applied not only to metals but also to wood, protecting it from decay. For this application, the customer requested the treatment of the entire undersurface of the trailer. The wood floor of the trailer is now protected as well as the steel frame. Coating new vehicles and trailers prior to the elements wreaking havoc on them are the ultimate extention of a vehicle’s life. MATTT Preservation thoroughly enjoys working with and protecting brand new vehicles!

This customer’s experience with past vehicles has been riddled with corrosion issues. As a result, the customer chose to mitigate the risk of corrosion on their investment. Brian and the customer agreed that the best strategy would be to perform a thorough treatment while the vehicle is brand new. The alternative would be to wait until the first signs of corrosion show up which would most likely result in added prep service to clear the car of rust and loose debris.
The approach on every project is to thoroughly treat and protect visible and non visible surfaces with FLUID FILM. Existing plugs were removed to apply treatment inside the doors and rockers. The 360 degree wands were utilized to treat the inside of the fender wells. The Pathfinder has felt liners from the factory in the wheel wells which ultimately trap debris, salt and brine. This makes the wheel wells one of the most vulnerable locations for corrosion to form. Under the hood, access holes were utilized to treat the inside of the fenders. The undercarriage was thoroughly treated as well, completing the MATTT Preservation Undercoating Service on this new Pathfinder. It is ready to take on the elements and is stablized prior to corrosion establishment!

The last “T” in MATTT stands for Trailers. There have been a few in the shop as of late. The first one to showcase is the 2006 Dump Trailer. This one has taken a beating from the elements. Significant corrosion is occurring and required a heavy amount of prep work to all surfaces.
A Vortex Blow gun, scrapers, and wire brushes were utilized to remove loose rust. The preparation stage is always important prior to treatment with FLUID FILM.
No surface was overlooked on the undercarriage or the sides of the trailer. Once the prep was complete, FLUID FILM was applied to the entire surface of this project, taking over 2 gallons to get the job done!
This breathable armor, FLUID FILM, will protect this trailer from the harmful effects of corrosion.
The trailer is now stabilized. Brian and the client will keep in contact as well as monitor the coating. A touch-up coat will likely be applied next year to ensure the trailer is adequately protected. Following the touch-up coat, a long-term reapplication schedule will be established.

This 2017 Dodge truck has been well cared for over the past five years. The owner felt that preserving his investment, a 400 horsepower, 6.7-liter V-8 engine with 400 pounds-feet of torque beast of a vehicle, was a no-brainer. MATTT Preservation was hired to prevent the onset of corrosion, mostly caused by a combination of exposure to roadway treatments, moisture, and air.
This triple threat can result in oxidation, the biggest enemy to one’s vehicle, rust. Although in excellent shape, the Dodge frame is showing some signs of surface rust, especially behind the cab. The rust hadn’t progressed to the point of resulting in the removal of any rust and scale.
Because this is the truck's first undercoating, extra care and attention were given to thoroughly protect the inside of the bed, inside of doors and rockers, under the hood, and under the spare area.
To prepare the truck, the rear taillights and spare tire were dropped to allow better access to the undercarriage and the inside of the bed. Existing plugs were removed from the rockers under the truck to coat their insides. The door plugs were removed to spray the inside of the doors. The existing holes inside the tailgate were utilized to coat the inside of the tailgate. To ensure the front pa
While under the hood, the inside of fenders and battery terminals were coated as well as under the hood itself. On the underside of the entire truck, all surfaces, including the inside and outside of the frame, were treated with FLUID FILM.

This Chevy Silverado has seen better days on its underbelly. The process of stopping rust and corrosion in its tracks starts with MATTT Preservation. The damage is assessed, compressed air and a chisel are utilized to flake off all the loose rust/debris and then the undercoating begins. No space is overlooked, not even the inside of the frame, door frames & rockers, behind the tail lights, or the battery terminals. If you have an auto, truck, tractor or trailer that needs protecting, do not hesitate to call Brian at (302) 502-5647 and schedule an appointment. This Silverado will be ready to tackle the harshest of winter snow plowing after this service.

The GMC Sonoma wasn’t in bad shape, but it did have a Iittle bit of corrosion to tend to. After the prep of removing the tail lights and scraping off loose rust on the frame, the undercoating process began. MATTT Preservation only uses the highest quality undercoating product on the market, FLUID FILM, a lanolin-based, non-toxic/non-hazardous protection for all metals. Behind the tail lights, the frame and the wheel wells were coated to ensure the corrosion process was stopped in its tracks.
